One of the Caribbean’s Hidden Golf Gems Makes a Nice Addition to a Six Senses La Sagesse Wellness Escape

If I learned anything about myself as a traveling golfer in 2025, it’s that there’s no such thing as too much wellness. Maybe I won’t go as far as to book an Aaron Rodgers ayahuasca retreat, but I’m almost always down to travel to the ends of the Earth for an incredible round of golf followed by great spa treatments. And if there’s spare time for sunrise yoga on the beach or even something a little more far out, like sound therapy or full body cacao leaf wraps, well, it certainly can’t hurt.

Fortunately, Grenada isn’t located on any of the ends of the Earth — instead, it’s one of the southernmost destinations in the Caribbean — and it’s likely a destination that you’d never even considered to this point. That’s a shame, and we need to fix that. For starters, it’s home to one of the most unheralded golf experiences in the Caribbean: Grenada Golf and Country Club. I typically balk at using the phrase “hidden gem,” but it would apply perfectly to this 9-hole design that is not only challenging, but also very affordable compared to other islands’ offerings. (The layout of the tee boxes also allows for guests to play 18 and enjoy even more of the southern coast’s amazing views.)

Now, if wellness will be the other aspect of your trip, there’s no better choice than Six Senses La Sagesse, which is offering guests an incredible array of programs from visiting practitioners to kick off 2026. Located on the southeastern side of the island (less than 40 minutes from the course), set against the phenomenal beach and cove for which it takes its name, this resort is surrounded by the elements that make this island so special, and that’s what makes it an ideal setting for rebooting our brains and making our bodies feel incredible.

Up next on the schedule is Daniel Weinberg, whose individualized programs focus on healing, which is obviously necessary after long days on the course or exploring Grenada’s natural beauty. Guests who stay between January 26 and February 6 can take part in sessions like cosmetic facial enhancement, neurofunctional acupuncture, and Japanese-style acupuncture.

For those who need a little more time to plan, Weinberg will be followed by Erin Nikole from March 1 through March 13. Her personalized experiences include custom breathwork programs, a grounding ritual, harmonizing and vitality rituals, and more. Anybody who is staring out at a challenging Par 5 from the tee box knows the value of good breathwork, but we could probably all use a little boost to our inner harmonies right now, regardless.

Beyond these visiting practitioners, Six Senses La Sagesse is simply a divine choice for anyone who wants to experience a digital detox. That’s obviously tough for those of us who love to share our surroundings, both on the course and off, during our trips, but anyone who has tried this concept will likely agree that it’s worth it to unplug and wait a few days to get back to our devices.
